A History of Three Came Home Publishing

Three Came Home Publishing began in 1998 with the release of Betrayal at Gettysburg, a Civil War period ‘what-if’ story that examined a pivotal battle of the war. As with many situations in life, decisions that are made in an instant can completely affect the bigger picture. Such was the imagined case at Gettysburg and General Longstreet’s hesitation. Could it have changed the outcome of the war? What if the South had won? Although the book is now out of print, Aronoff received a Best Fiction of the Summer award for his thought provoking work.

He next ventured into the personal lives of three Southerners making their way back home at the conclusion of the Civil War. As their stories grew and the lines were filled in, what started as one book soon became a Trilogy. The stories of Lorena, Sam, and Rutherford described in vivid detail the heartbreak of surrender, the struggle to walk back home, and the tragic devastation that awaited them.

One period book that Edward had wanted to write for years finally came to fruition with the publication of The Wartime Memoirs of Robert E. Lee. As a scholar of the American Civil War, Aronoff had studied the rich history surrounding Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Upon learning about the letters, memoranda and notes that Lee had compiled before his death, Aronoff began to speculate on what Lee’s proposed memoirs would have actually said. As Lee’s ghostwriter, Aronoff develops a compelling narrative of the General’s personal account of his his soldiers, adversaries, President Lincoln, and the bloody War Between the States.

After multiple requests from friends and family, Dr. Aronoff soon wrote his nutritional “self-help” book Toxic Food – Healthy Food,” to help unravel the confusion surrounding America’s poor health and bad eating habits. As a nutritionist, Aronoff plainly identifies the effects of too much sugar, dairy and meat in the American diet, and how reducing and eliminating those foods can restore the body to good health.

In his companion novel, Last Chance, Aronoff illustrates how one woman’s terminal cancer diagnosis is transformed into a healthy lifestyle that overcomes her deadly disease. Following the lifestyle plan described in Toxic Food, the young woman restores her health and vitality, completely eliminating disease from her body.

Aronoff’s love of opera, next led him to pen The Paliacci Affair, based around the classic Italian opera tragedy, The Paliacci (The Clown). In a modern romance adaptation of the story, Aronoff spins a masterful tale of love, betrayal, and theatre in this ‘crime of passion’ three-way romance.

Available now, The Poisoned Chalice takes the reader through twists and turns in the early days of World War II when a young German motion picture cameraman working in Hollywood, is invited to come back to Germany to help with it’s public relations film industry. In reality, the films are Nazi propaganda, and his wife, anxious to return to the Fatherland, is discovered to be a Nazi sympathizer. As war and ideologies push the couple apart, the surprising climax will test their love for each other, love of country and love of humanity.

If you enjoy spellbinding historical fiction, you’ll enjoy any of Edward Aronoff’s powerful stories. His books make great gifts for the history or romance reader in your family.
